About Makeup Artist Lisa Finlay

Another one of my favourite Photos of my Professional Makeup Artist Career!

Having qualified in 2006 as a professional makeup artist, trained and confident in all varieties of media make up for film, television and stage, I will be applying my services to the Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow area's mainly, but i'm willing to travel further so please feel free to contact me if your not within these main area's.

Education for a Makeup Artist

Having completed my studies at Clydebank college after 3 years, achieving my VTCT Diplomas and my HND.

During my time at Clydebank I had the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a variety of media as well as travelling to London and Los Angeles to gain an insight into the industries two most prominent locations.

I was honoured to receive the Charles Fox Prize for Student of the Year 2006.

I have a great deal of knowledge about cosmetics and the best way to apply them. Making sure I keep myself up to date with the ever changing products around and the different trends that come and go ensures my clients get the first class service they deserve.

Since finishing college I have worked on several short films, theatre productions and photoshoots.

I hope it is the start of many great experiences!

Trial Runs

A trial run is important to ensure that we work out just the right look you want to achieve. Lasting between 1-3 hours, this is the opportunity for us to try out different hairstyles and experiment with different makeup looks. It is also helpful to get an idea of the colour schemes that will be used, whether you are going to be wearing a tiara, veil, flowers etc. The trial is an opportunity to ensure that all factors will be considered when designing the final look.

If desired I can also do a trial for the bridesmaids, mother of the bride/groom etc.
